The Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner, said he turned to commit marriage with one of their models.
Hefner said Sunday in a message on Twitter that he had given an engagement ring to his girlfriend and Playboy bunny, Crystal Harris, who broke with emotion to mourn.
"This is the happiest Christmas memory," Hefner wrote.
To clear up confusion about whether the ring was just a Christmas gift, Hefner wrote later: "Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. It was not my intention to create a mystery. Merry Christmas All. "
This is the third marriage for Hefner, 84 and star of the reality series The Girls Next Door, which follows his life in the Playboy Mansion, Hefner's Playboy divorced Kimberly Conrad last year.
